OSHA Regulations for Forklift Training and Operation

🔸Riding directly on the forks of a truck is prohibited.

🔸 Unauthorized individuals are not permitted to operate forklift trucks.

🔸Only designated passengers are allowed to ride on forklifts intended for transporting them.

Both basic and advanced training must be conducted by a certified instructor. Instructors must possess the requisite experience, knowledge, and training to effectively teach operators and evaluate their proficiency. Each training session should incorporate instructional content, practical exercises, whether conducted on-site or off-site, and an assessment of trainee performance.
